
Screen Australia is the Australian Government’s major screen agency. We finance innovative and high-quality TV, film and online projects, and develop content, enterprises and talent. We conduct research, undertake audience development, support distribution of Australian releases, and market Australian talent and screen content domestically and internationally. Screen Australia also administers the Producer Offset and Australia’s official Co-production Program.
Screen Australia is proud to shine a spotlight on all the outstanding Australian films and talent presented at TIFF this year.
Films screening include: Jane Campion’s THE POWER OF THE DOG; Eva Orner’s BURNING; Nash Edgerton’s SHARK and Madeleine Gottlieb’s YOU AND ME, BEFORE AND AFTER. Cinematographer Ari Wegner will be honoured for her outstanding craft with the 2021 TIFF Variety Artisan Award.
In the conference, Screen Australia’s Angela Bates will participate in NARRATIVE SOVEREIGNTY: PATHWAYS TO PARTNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION FOR INDIGENOUS PRODUCTIONS, and Jessica Barclay Lawton and Vonne Patiag will participate in the prestigious TIFF Filmmaker Lab.
